Every individual must have a valid MAI competition licence to compete in any form of motor sports in India. A licence is a certificate of registration issued to any person or body (Drivers, Entrants, Manufacturers, teams, circuits etc) wishing to participate or taking part whatsoever, in competitions or record attempts. The Licence holder is deemed to be acquainted with the International Sporting Code of the FIA, and must comply with its provisions.
All MAI competition licenses expire on the 31st of December every year, and must be renewed annually from 1st January of each year.
AN MAI International Licence can be issued provided the driver meets the criteria set for that grade of Licence. This licence, along with a "No-Objection certificate" from the MAI, allows the driver or entrant to compete in an International event if it is entered on the FIA International Sporting Calendar. |

A medical examination is a pre-requisite for the issuance of a Driver/Co-Driver licence. |

All MAI licence's are valid till the 31st of December of each year. |

All payments must be made by cash or Demand Draft in favour of “Motorsports Association of India” payable in Mumbai. |
